FYI: A DEMONSTRATION

Title IX Advocates will be holding a demonstration Wednesday August 19 from 10
AM to 1 PM at the Nikko Hotel in San Francisco, to educate the public and
express to Norma Cantu of the Office for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of
Education, who will be speaking there at 11 AM to the conference of Sociologists
Against Sexual Harassment, the demand that all protections, against sex
discrimination in schools that receive federal funds, of Title IX of the
Education Amendments of 1972 be enforced NOW--on behalf of all the girls and
women of the United States.
We will also be demonstrating to educate the public on the Supreme Court
decision in Gebser v. Lago Vista this week, and to demand that all school
districts and colleges/universities be held accountable for establishing and
maintaining school environments free of sexual harassment of students.
