Hi,

One more thing - in the original message about the AAUW Study, it is stated
that "The
Foundation's 18-month commission will bring together some of the best minds in
the nation
from research, technology development, and education to analyze trends, review
research
and make policy recommendations to be summarized in a comprehensive report in
1999."

Will these best minds include students (both female and male), or will we
adults, once
again, decide what is best for students without bothering to check with them?

There is a video of Olympia SD, which I mentioned in my earlier message, in
which the
superintendent ends with the following comment: "Here at Olympia SD, the
students are the
agents of change, not the objects of change."
