Dear Folks,

I am the poster who asked for some "gender neutral" resources for
young adult fiction to integrate with American History curriculum. While
I appreciate the lectures (sent by several well-intentioned respondents)
on my inappropriate use of "gender-neutral" it would be nice if people
simply recommended a few books.
Yeah, I meant feminist (or female-centered) and not gender
neutral, because no piece of writing can be truly gender-neutral, but give
me a break; I AM going to great lengths and risk to change attitudes in
this backwater culture.
Chill the rarified intellectualized yammering and just name a few
books so I can do my job.
Thank you to the few folks who did contribute some resources
(constructive behavior), but none for the vast majority who did nothing
but complain about semantics.

From the public school trenches,
Bill Oetjen
