Hello all,

I'm new to this listserv, so I'll do a brief introduction. My background is
in developmental psychology; my dissertation was on gender, mathematics, and
relationships at adolescence. I currently work on a preventive intervention
project that has served first-time pregnant women through nurse
home-visitation. Part of our current work is on father involvement in the
lives of these families.

I have a question about the National Organization on Disability's study. Does
anyone know how disability was defined in the sample studied? I am assuming
it was people with physical disabilities, but also am wondering if they
included those with mental or developmental disabilities. I have a sister
with Down Syndrome, and my sense of discussions about disability is that they
typically focus more on those with physical disabilities rather than those
with other types.

Peace,
Lisa
