Fourth Annual Conference on Multicultural Education
Sheraton Four Points Hotel in Waterbury, Connecticut

A Conference for K-12 and Higher Education staff, faculty, students,
administrators, parents, school board members and community activists.

Six Pre-Conference Institutes and 24 Concurrent Sessions. Pre-Conference
institute topics include Multicultural Education and the Internet, Minority
Teacher Recruitment and Retention, Multicultural Science, Multicultural
Language Arts, Making Schools Safe for Gay & Lesbian Students, MCE for Higher
Education faculty and more

Keynotes scheduled to date include:

Beverly Tatum - Dean at Mt. Holyoke College and author of "Why are All the
Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria"
And
Donna Gollnick - Vice-President of NCATE and
President-Elect of the National Association for Multicultural Education

"Moving Multicultural Education Forward: Works in Progress"

The October 22 Conference was a "sold-out" success with 350 teachers,
administrators, parents, school board members from throughout New England and
the US in attendance.

will be going out in the next three weeks.
