I couldn't agree with you more. Speaking up could make a difference, silence is
only silence.
I recently completed a research project on girls and sports. The Women's Sports
Foundation sponsored a study about the impact of sports on girls and found it
made
a positive difference in their lives.

Sports is not a magically catalyst, but if it empowers girls and womyn to be
stronger and more confident, it's worth advocating.
