I listened to Nina Tottenberg's (sp?) commentary with Susan Stamberg this
morning on NPR about Justice Renquist's role in the impeachment trial. She
discussed the possibility of it upsetting the Supreme Court's schedule and
made me wonder if it would push the Davis v. Monroe case back. Because this is
apparently a "light year" for Supreme Court cases, she also indicated there was
a possibility that some cases could be put off until next year's deliberations.
It certainly would be more than disappointing if that were to happen.

In the meantime, let's hope Davis v. Monroe is heard as scheduled and
I, too, wish my best to Verna in arguing the case next week.
