Eleanor, in regard to the research,
(1) exactly what did the boys and girls do who were marked as
harassing? We have no breakdown,and it is our experience that the girls
may be verbal, but the boys may be quite physical. There seems to be an
emphasis on the gender of the victim, without detailing stats by the
gender of the perpetrator, too.
(2) To what extent does the removal of physical battery and serious
assault/threat from the school purview, into the area of police
reporting, tend to water down the picture of what goes on under the
heading sexual harassment in quasi-governmental research?
Can you speak to these issues?
