Hi everyone!

Please pass the following information on to anyone (or any other
listserv) that you feel may be interested in nominating for our award.
The deadline is April 1st and the nomination process is very easy.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

I am going to cut and paste the information below about the award
process for those of you who may not be able to open the announcement attached.

In addition we have some new resources for you:

1) we have a new newsletter now being produced called, "School to
What?". It is a free, bi-monthly four page newsletter focused on
providing access and choice to all learners to participate in school to
work opportunities. If you are interested in viewing this you can read
the newsletter on line at our website: www.ici.coled.umn.edu/all under
the Helpful Tools link.

If you would like to be added to our mailing list to receive a hard
copy, please reply with your name, address, phone, and email to this message.

2) We have four new award sites for the All Means All School to Work
Award. They will be profiled (probably within the next month) on our
website under the Award Sites link. Only the first 5 are on the website
currently.

3) Just a reminder that we have a school to work question and answer
page on our website called School to Work Wizards. Ask a question and
we will send it out to our Wizards nationwide. They will come up with
ideas, strategies, and resources to address your school to work
questions. Visit this resource on our website under the Wizards Link.

Thank you for your support and assistance! Let us know if there is
anything we can do to be of support to you in your work.

All Means All School-to-Work
Award Nominations

It is time once again for All Means All School-to-Work Nominations!! If
you haven't heard of the All Means All School-to-Work Project, here is
your chance. I have enclosed information and materials on the project
that I hope will be useful to you.

? What is the "All Means All" School-to-Work Project?
The All Means All Project is a federal, three-year project that is
searching for school-to-work strategies that truly include all learners.
It's that simple! We want to share these strategies with others as
models that can be replicated or built upon to ensure access and benefit
by all learners in school-to-work opportunities.

We identify these strategies through an Award Nomination process.

? What is the All Means All School-to-Work Award Nomination?
The award nomination is a way of nominating your strategy and becoming a
national award site. We want to recognize and celebrate the efforts of
local school-to-work partners who are committed to doing "whatever it
takes" to ensure access and benefit by all learners within their local
school-to-work system. We also want to share these strategies with
others. The award nomination is a great way to do this!

You or someone you know may be using a school-to-work strategy of this
type in a community setting, in a business, or a school setting. Award
Nomination Packets are available upon request. They can be used to
nominate your strategy for the award, with an end result of recognizing
your organization as a national All Means All School-to-Work Award Site!

? Rewards and Incentives
If you become a national award site, you will receive an award package,
filled with multiple copies of up-to-date school-to-work resources, as
well as a cash honorarium to further your efforts in the area of
including all learners in school-to-work!

We will feature your strategy on our website and in national
publications, share your ideas with others, and provide technical
assistance to you in order to enhance and further your efforts in this
area.

? Please consider:
* completing an All Means All School-to-Work Award Nomination for a
strategy you are using
* sharing this information with others who may be interested in
nominating their strategy
* nominating a school, community, or business partner for the award

? Nomination Deadline
There is one nomination round left in the final year of the project.
The deadline is:
* April 1, 1999

I want to thank you for your time and for considering the nomination of
strategies you or someone you know is using to include all learners in
school-to-work. I am available to provide help with draft nominations,
to provide input and feedback on your efforts, and to share resources
with you that are available through this project. And best of all, our
project resources are FREE!

Please contact me if you have any questions or if I can be of assistance
in any way. I can be reached at 612/625-3863 or e-mail at
huntx010@umn.edu. Good luck with your continued school-to-work efforts!
