HMS Beagle Features Women in Science

Crowfoot Hodgkin, women have played a vital part in the advancement of our
understanding of science and medicine.

March is Women?s History Month, and HMS Beagle, the award-winning BioMedNet
magazine, is pleased to celebrate the occasion with two features
highlighting women?s often underestimated role in science.

Issue 47 of HMS Beagle features ?Stealing the Fire: Women Scientists in
Fiction,? an essay in which Alison Sinclair looks at how women scientists
are portrayed in contemporary fiction.
