Voices in Dialogue

The final version of Voices in Dialogue will be Thursday,
April 8, 1999 3:30 to 6:30 PM at the Adams Marks Hotel
City Avenue and Monument Ave. in the Pierres Room, in the Hotel
Lobby. This series has been offered by the Office of Curriculum
Support.

The lecture series is sponsored by the School District of
Philadelphia, PA. The speaker for this program will be Sonia Nieto.
Dr. Sonia Nieto is Professor of Education at the University of
Massachusetts in Amherst. Sonia Neito is a strong advocate of educational
equity, and serves on numerous boards for this purpose. She has received many
awards in recognition of her dedication to educational reform and lectures
extensively throughout the country on these issues.

You will receive a copy of the Light in Their Eyes: Creating
Multicultural Learning Communities and a poster with a lesson
plan. Light refreshments will be served. ANYONE from any district,
community or neighborhood can attend this event
