This national 3-day conference will be hosted by the University of
Minnesota, March 27 - 29, 2000. The University of Minnesota will broadcast the
keynote sessions and moderated panels discussions on the first and last days of
this event to satellite sites at colleges and universities around the country.
Those sites will facilitate caucus sessions on their own campuses to help shape
a national agenda to improve campus climates and the status of women in higher
education for the 21st century.

***Please complete this Call for Proposals if you would like to present at
the University of Minnesota site.***

This conference is designed to be transformative, having a significant,
long-lasting impact on women in higher education and the institutions where
they work and learn. It will provide a forum for women and men in higher
education across the nation to:
-- Explore ways to access women1s talents by building upon the strengths of
our diversity, breaking down barriers, and creating campus environments that
allow all people to work up to their potential
-- Develop new ways of working together in a multicultural world
-- Share best practices and form collaborations and supportive networks
-- Discuss how colleges and universities can better support women as
teachers, workers, learners, and creators of knowledge

This conference will be a platform for all voices: women elders and
long-respected feminists who helped build the foundation for the women1s
movement, as well as those who bring new perspectives and vision to the
challenges ahead of us. Together we will forge new paths for women in
higher education.
