With support from the National Science Foundation, EASI is creating a CD
disk highlighting adaptive computer technology as the door opening the
world of information to students with disabilities. The CD is crammed with
hundreds of useful articles, interesting clips of audio and video ranging
from a couple minutes in length till a half hour or hour. It has
informative audio interviews with students and professionals.

The disk is designed to meet special needs of K-12 students with
disabilities studying science and math and provides useful tools to help
teachers and parents. However, most of the information is generic and
valuable to everyone.

The disk also includes many demo software packages of the most common and
popular adaptive computer technology software. These demos have links to
the internet so the disk helps you connect with web pages where you can
locate the most up-to-date revisions. These internet links means that the
disk is constantly updateable by pointing you at product home pages.

EASI believes that technology is important because it empowers and changes
people. It is not important just for itself.

You can find a promo online of this CD at http://www.rit.edu/~easi/cddisk
where there are some of the articles and where there are short sample audio
and video clips.

The CD will be available in May and orders placed before May will receive a
discount. Price till May is $20.
