On my way home from work Michigan Public Radio told of three incidents
today where boys were planning destruction with bombs. Two schools were
closed because of it and one incident involved someone finding the
materials, but a bomb wasn't fully constructed yet.
What can be said that hasn't been said? Our right wing gun legislators
decided to delay the hearings on their bill to give greater leniency to
carrying concealed weapons till this blows over and we all forget about how
much we fear guns. In the mean time, Detroit and Wayne County joined the
cities suing the gun manufacturers and someone introduced legislation to
make that (suing) illegal.
In the meantime three high school senior boys came to visit me today at
work and see an exhibit on slavery in the antebellum south, and they were
just as nice and sweet as they could be. It did not occur to me to ask them if
they would like to carry concealed weapons.
