Misogynistic ad?

This morning I was listening to KNX (in LA) radio station when a
commercial from First World (firstworld.com) aired. They said a typical
ten-year old boy hates girls and liked their internet services. I was
alarmed that a statement about hate was so casually made. I
automatically thought about Columbine, Jonesboro, and other schools and
cities where girls and womyn are killed or abused by boys or men they
know. In my mind, I linked this violence with gynder inequity: not
seeing each other as equals, as worthy of respect and consequently
tolerating inequity.

I called their headquarters, left a message and E-mailed their media
information persyn regarding my concerns.

What do you think? The ad was probably meant as a boys-will-be-boys play
on words, but I see it as perpetuating disrespect (and then some).
