The Women's and Gender Studies Program at North Carolina State University
invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position to
contribute to its new initiative on women and gender in science and
engineering.

Ideal candidates should have a Ph.D. in a social science field or a
social-science related multidisciplinary area with a background in feminist
scholarship, a research record in women's studies, and experience in or
commitment to pursuing external grants. The Women's and Gender Studies Program
reports to the Division of Multidisciplinary Studies. Please consult the MDS

Review of applications begins on November 15, 1999 and will continue until the
position is filled. Send letter of application, statement of research and
teaching interest, a cv, and list of three references to Laura
