WEEA Associates

WEEA Associates play a vital role in the WEEA Equity Resource Center's provision of technical assistance.  This national network of distinguished equity professionals was formally established in 1998.  WEEA Associates come from the ranks of regional federal technical assistance providers such as Equity Assistance Centers, Comprehensive Assistance Centers, as well as the National Clearinghouse of the Eisenhower Consortium for Mathematics and Science Education, national independent consulting companies, and other organizations.  

WEEA Associates

• provide training and technical assistance in their geographic region and/or specialty via phone, e-mail, or in person
• serve as WEEA Center advisors and representatives
• help to develop model policies and review new resources
• help to identify emerging issues and needs
• exchange information, ideas, and experiences
• coordinate and collaborate to effectively utilize limited resources and to promote national awareness of equity issues  

What Kinds of Assistance Are Available from Associates?

WEEA Associates support the center's mission of strengthening the capacity of people at the local level to successfully implement gender equity programs, policies, and methodologies by the following means:

• Individual consultations by phone or e-mail.  
• On-site training at conferences or other events.  
• Representing the WEEA Center at conferences and other public events.  
• Dissemination of WEEA catalogs, digests, fliers, and other materials at conferences, training workshops, and other meetings.
