Presidential Profile Series

The Center for College Health and Safety publishes a series of interviews with college and university presidents who are making strides in responding to the problem of high-risk drinking. We are particularly interested in profiling academic leaders who are improving the quality and safety of students’ college experience in the following ways:

Openly and publicly acknowledging that alcohol abuse and underage drinking exist
Reaching out to campus, community, and state-level groups to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for prevention
Taking an active stand on alcohol and other drug issues and conveying clear expectations and standards
Serving as a role model to students, faculty, and administrators
Making alcohol and other drug prevention a priority in the strategic plan for the school
