The CME Project is a four-year, NSF-funded, comprehensive high school mathematics program that is problem-based, student-centered, and organized around the familiar themes of Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus.
The series was developed by the Center for Mathematics Education at Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC) in Newton, Massachusetts, and is published by Pearson Education, Inc.
The CME Project
- sets as its goal robust mathematical proficiency for all students by emphasizing the interplay between mathematical thinking and essential technical skills;
- provides a coherent curriculum with mathematical ideas, skills, and themes introduced early and deepened throughout the program.
