here do not necessarily reflect the positions or policies of
Education Development Center.
GDI is not responsible for the content of any referenced web
pages created by external parties. GDI does not necessarily
endorse the companies or organizations featured on these pages.
We provide links to other web sites when, in our judgment, information
residing on these sites would be helpful to our clients. We cannot

GDI
provides several opportunities for all users to contact us through
email or web-based forms. We use the personal
information you provide only as it relates
to answering your question. Aggregate
records of how many people contact us
per month are kept; however, individual
information is not kept in this form
nor shared in any reporting process.
GDI links to hundreds of other web sites; we are not responsible for
the privacy practices or the content of those web sites. Please see our
disclaimer above for additional information.
GDI will soon offer community areas on our site. Please be aware that
any information you disclose in these areas becomes public information;
use caution when disclosing personal information in public areas on any
web site.

Our web servers automatically record general
information on all users who browse the content of our site. These
data collection systems gather on:

The Internet domain for your Internet service, such as company.com
or school.edu.

The type and version of the operating system you use (such as Macintosh

The pages you visit on the GDI and the files

The date, time, and length of time of your visit.
The logs are periodically summarized and analyzed
to study site usage over time to help us improve the site's organization,
performance, and usefulness. This information is only examined
in the aggregate, not at the individual level.

Except where we state otherwise, GDI offers you access
to this web site solely for your personal and non-commercial uses. By
using this web site, you agree to these terms and you promise that you
will not use any content found on the GDI web site in whole or in part,

GDI holds copyright for original material created by GDI and
by authors specifically commissioned by us. Authors or producers that
submit their original works to GDI collection hold copyright on
their original works; the catalog record that is created to describe
their learning objects is copyrighted by GDI.
Users may contribute comments, reviews, metadata, URLs, or other
information to the GDI web site and send emails and other communications,
so long as the content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory,
an invasion of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights
or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable and does
not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning,
commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form
of "spam." The user may not use false email
addresses, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as
to origin of any communication, message or other content. GDI
reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit such
content, but does not regularly review posted content.
If the user does contribute comments, reviews, metadata, or other information,
the user voluntarily grants GDI and its affiliates a nonexclusive,
royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and full right to use, reproduce,
modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute,
and display the contribution throughout the world in any media. The user
grants GDI or its affiliates the right to use the name (if any)
that the user submits in connection with such contribution, if the user
so chooses. In the case where attribution is made to the contributor
of original material (e.g. reviews, messages on listservs/email groups,
and other comments), GDI will not alter such content. However, contributed
metadata (resource descriptions, subjects, resource types, etc.) may
be changed to enhance resource description and discovery.
To the best of the user's knowledge, use of the contribution by GDI
does not violate any intellectual property rights and will not cause
injury to any person or entity. GDI has the right, but not the obligation,
to monitor and edit or remove any activity or contribution. GDI takes
no responsibility and assumes no liability for any contribution made
by the user or a third party.
GDI will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of
users who infringe the intellectual property rights of others. If you
believe that your work has been used or copied in a way that constitutes
copyright infringement and such infringement is occurring on this web
site, please notify GDI in writing. The Digital Millennium Copyright
Act requires that all notices of alleged copyright infringement be in
writing. For GDI to act on your notice, you must be authorized to
enforce the copyrights that you allege have been infringed. When informing
GDI of an alleged copyright infringement, you should:
- Identify the copyrighted work that allegedly has been infringed.
If multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are involved,
please provide a representative list of such works on that site.
- Describe the material that is claimed to be
infringing and provide sufficient information to permit GDI to
locate that material.

number, and, if available, an e-mail address.
- Certify or include a statement that you have a good faith belief
that the use of the copyright-protected material in the manner complained
of is not authorized by the copyright owner, the owner's agent, or

- Certify that the information that you have
provided GDI is accurate. You should attest under penalty of perjury
that you are authorized to enforce the copyrights that you allege

GDI may not be able to act on your complaint promptly or at all
if you do not provide this information.
