Linda Briggs, RN, MS, MA
Linda Briggs, RN, MSN, MA, is the assistant director, Advance Care Planning, and an ethics consultant at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. With twenty-five years of nursing experience as a critical care staff nurse, nurse manager, clinical nurse specialist, and educator, Ms. Briggs brings extensive insight to clinical and educational perspectives related to health care ethics. As a health care consultant for eight years, she has helped organizations establish clinical competency and leadership programs and lectured on a wide variety of nursing topics. She received her Master's of Science in Bioethics and has published her thesis "A Competency Based Educational Curriculum for Ethics Committee Members." She is co-author of "Respecting Choices® Advance Care Planning Manual for Facilitators," and provides education and consultation to individuals and organizations interested in implementing the nationally recognized advance care planning program, Respecting Choices. In her role as ethics consultant, she facilitates the development of several Ethics Committees across Wisconsin.
