Project BusinessHow to get the stipendEach participant in the project could be eligible to receive a stipend of approximately $1000 over the two-year period. Eligibility: To be eligible, a participant must be involved in all of the team’s lesson study activities, keep an individual written record of team activities, and submit reflections at the end of each cycle. Participants are also expected to attend all of the project workshops, both during and outside of the school year. Absence from a project workshop must be discussed with project staff in order to determine eligibility for the rest of the stipend. When will I get the stipend? The remaining stipend disbursment dates are: June 2004 and June 2005. The stipend amount will be based upon attendance at workshop days that take place outside of the school day, individual written work and reflections, and participation in the project research. How do I get the stipend? To receive a stipend for a given period of time, each teacher must sign an EDC payment form. Also, the team’s attendance records for that year must be complete and on file at EDC, and the team must have submitted their end of cycle products. The stipend checks will then be processed by EDC and teachers should receive them in the mail in 4 to 6 weeks. Because the number of workshop days varies by cycle, the stipend checks will not all be equal. If you have any questions about the stipend, please contact the Project
