Prerequisites for Patterns in Polynomials

To work on this project you should be familiar with polynomial algebra, trigonometry, and recursion (including induction).  However, if you're just learning one of the last two topics and are familiar with the others, this project could be a good hands-on way to learn either trigonometry or recursion.

If you are just learning about recursion, you might just be starting to learn about sequences and how they are normally infinite in one direction.   A typical sequence, S,  starts with a "zeroth term,"  S sub 0 and continues indefinitely:  S sub 0, S sub 1, S sub 2, etc..  None of the sequences we will consider here will have a negatively indexed term like S sub negative one.
