Associate Project Director |
Kirsten Johnson is the Associate Project Director of EdTech Leaders™ Online, The Center for Online Professional Education’s online professional development capacity building program for educational organizations. This program of web-based online learning strengthens and extends existing professional development programs in K-12 school districts, regional educational service providers, and teacher preparation programs.
Most recently as part of NetTech, the Northeast Regional Technology Consortium, she has been designing and facilitating a series of online workshops preparing professional development specialists from urban school districts to run their own online workshops. She is also the editor of LNT Perspectives, the online journal of the Leadership and the New Technologies community. A former high school Language Arts teacher and publications adviser, Kirsten has written curriculum for Journalism, Media Literacy, Montana State Language Arts Competencies, and Title 1 Remedial English.
She holds a B.A. in English Literature from Montana State University and an Ed.M. in Technology in Education from Harvard University.
When she's not online, she loves running and playing ultimate frisbee.
