In the rainforest it is broken down into five
layers. The five layers are Emergent, Canopy, Middle Layer, Shrub Layer,
and the Herb Layer. The Emergent layer is at the very top of the rainforest.
The Canopy layer is right below the Emergent layer. The Middle layer is in
the middle of the rainforest. The shurb layer is about 12 to 15 feet above
the ground and the herblayer is on the ground or the floor of the rainforest.
In the Emergent layer many different
kind of birds live live there. Some of those birds that live there are Scarlet
Mascaw, Tucans, and other vairetys of birds. In the Canopy layer snakes and
Monkeys live there. The different kinds of snakes are the Boa Coznstrictor
and an Emarald tree Boa. The monkeys that live there are the wooly Monkey
and the Squirrel Monkey. In the Middle layer lizards such as Iguanas live
there. In the shrub layer many butterflys live there. Yes, butterflys live
in the rainforest. Also birds live in the shurb layer. The herb layer it is
the most important because the plants and trees absorbs water fdrom the roots.
Animals such as the Ocelot which is like a cat that lives in the Herb layer.
