National Launch Training

On June 13, community technology staff from around the country are participating in a training to launch the national ScienceQuest after-school program. This program encourages young people (aged 10-14) to discover and investigate their questions about science and technology. The program's goal is to foster the next generation of scientists and educators in under-served populations such as minorities, girls, and children with disabilities. Community volunteers and center staff provide youth participants with support, guidance, and mentoring.

Participants from the following community technology centers were represented at the training:

Training participants brainstorm ideas for science resources.

CTC staff get hands-on experience with the I-Search process.
