On
June 13, community technology staff from around the country are participating
in a training to launch the national ScienceQuest after-school program.
This program encourages young people (aged 10-14) to discover and investigate
their questions about science and technology. The program's goal is to
foster the next generation of scientists and educators in under-served
populations such as minorities, girls, and children with disabilities.
Community volunteers and center staff provide youth participants with
support, guidance, and mentoring.
