Math and More is a technology-enhanced mathematics curriculum developed by EDC for IBM over a period of many years. It reflects a vision of teachers and students actively engaged in doing mathematics in ways that connect to their personal interests and their lives outside the classroom.

Designed for a classroom with a student to computer ratio of 5 to 1 and a teacher workstation, Math and More supports active learning by integrating exploratory and problem-solving software with video, concrete manipulatives, and student print materials.

Geometry in Design is the geometry component of Math and More 2. This unit involves the design and construction of geometric quilts with paper and on-screen manipulatives. The TELG Project at EDC is using this unit as the space within which to explore the concepts of transformations, patterns, units and symmetries.

The Geometry in Design software is a "computer microworld" in which students can explore the concepts of the unit without the constraints of traditional manipulatives.
