Summer 2008 Workshops — Registration is now OPEN!

Using Think Math! materials, Building Number & Algebra the Think Math! Way Workshops will present effective approaches to elementary mathematics content areas across grades. In two workshops, one emphasizing grades K–2 and the other grades 3–5, participants will explore how to build skill and understanding in addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, fractions/decimals, and algebraic thinking/language.

Think Math! developers and experienced teachers will facilitate the workshops. These workshops are ideal for teachers, coaches, specialists, and administrators who are interested in learning about Think Math! curriculum or who are interested in content-focused professional development.

In each workshop, participants will:

• Engage in hands-on problem solving and learn-by-doing mathematics using Think Math! materials
• Develop new mathematical ideas and approaches; see the growth of critical content areas, K-5
• Address issues of implementation, differentiation, and assessment
• Network with educators from across the country
