Apriel Hodari
Dr. Apriel K. Hodari is a Senior Research Analyst in the Public Research Division of The Center for Naval Analysis She earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from Hampton University. Apriel used the National Science Foundation’s Postdoctoral Fellowship in Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology Education, to change fields, and joined the Physics Education Research Group at the University of Maryland. In the Thinking about Mathematics Instruction project, Apriel is primarily interested in high-quality qualitative, mixed methods and quasi-clinical methodologies being used to gain systematic understandings of the effects Lenses on Learning has on a principals’ instructional leadership practice.
