Content Abstract
Due to educational reform efforts and the increasing popularity of collaborative approaches to address inclusive schooling, many educators are engaging in cooperative teaching. The purpose of the Collaborative Teaching Casebooks is to provide supplementary instructional materials for preservice and inservice educators who are working to develop their collaborative teaching skills. The cases selected for this book are representative of the situations faced by real teachers as they use cooperative teaching to meet the needs of students with special needs in secondary classrooms. These cases can be used to supplement topics addressed in consultation and collaboration texts in the field. One significant feature of the Collaborative Teaching Casebooks is the resource section, which can be found in Collaborative Teaching Casebooks: Facilitators Guide. This section includes reproducible, succinct summaries of practices suggested in the literature. Therefore, Case Facilitators can use the casebooks and the facilitator’s guide with or without the accompanying textbook. Each casebook in the series can be purchased individually or as a set.
