For research results, look at the web pages for AAUW and NSF. Also the
Wellesley College Center for Research on Women. There is also a group
at the U of Wisconsin...Heidi Fencl is the name that comes to mind.

What Students Bring to Light...don't recall the author
Perhaps look at student's alternate conceptions of nature in
Making Sense of Secondary Science by Rosalind Driver etc...secondary
does not mean high school.
