ABOUT HER
A graduate of Wellesley College and Yale University Law School, Hillary
Rodham Clinton is a highly acclaimed attorney and public servant. She
was named in 1991 as one of the 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America
by the National Law Journal.
Hillary Rodham
Clinton is also a children's rights activist. She chaired the Arkansas
Education Standards Committee, served on the board of the Arkansas Children's
hospital, and founded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families.
She pioneered an Arkansas program to teach parents how to prepare their
children for preschool and literacy.
In 1993, Rodham
Clinton was appointed to head the Task Force on National Health Care
to evaluate the nation's $800 billion-a-year health care industry and
its ability to provide health care for all living in the United States.
She was also the nation's First Lady during Bill Clinton's administration.
In 2000 Rodham Clinton
was elected to the U.S. Senate, representing the state of New York.
She is the first First Lady to be elected to this legislative body.
