Registrations are still being accepted for the annual conference of the
National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) -- Creative
Partnerships: Gateway to Embracing Diversity and Multiculturalism -- from
October 7-11 in St. Louis, Missouri. A wide range of plenary and workshop
sessions on diversity issues are planned for both K-12 and postsecondary
educators. Speakers will include national leaders on multicultural
education, including Christine Sleeter, Sonia Nieto, and Charles Willie.
