The Eisenhower Regional Alliance for Mathematics and Science Education at
TERC is seeking an Equity Specialist to promote improved student achievement in
mathematics and science in K-12 schools and other education reform initiatives.
The Equity Specialist will assist in the implementation of mathematics and
science programs in the Alliance Schools Network and other Regional Alliance
sponsored locations; assist educators in using data to address issues of race,
class and gender equity; coordinate the efforts of the Regional Alliance's
Equity Network; and represent the Regional Alliance at professional meetings.
Qualifications:
- Experience in equity work in K-12 schools
- Experience in K-12 mathematics and/or science education
- Understanding of national mathematics and/or science reform efforts
- Experience in professional development and workshop design
- An advanced degree in education, mathematics or science
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with Alliance staff and school personnel
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region and the U.S.

Salary range: $40,000 - $55,000
