As part of recently passed Georgia legislation on school violence,
"character education" will be mandated for levels K-12 in public schools.
This program "focuses on students' development of 'character traits' such
as honesty, fairness, respect for others, self-respect, cooperation,
tolerance" and more (including "respect for the creator"). I have no idea
how they plan to implement this program.
What do you all know/think about "character education"?
