FAQ Packets
FAQ packets are a series of frequently asked questions that
were developed in response to request for practical, useful information
on today's emerging educational issuesand the implications for gender
equitable educationdesigned to complement the Center's popular WEEA
Digests. Each FAQ packet contains a relevant WEEA Digest, an overview
of the topic, fact sheets, the most frequently asked questions and answers,
a checklist, and resources to help you work toward equity in education.
Disability
Designed to provide basic information
on gender and disability with practical tools to help you ensure that
gender equity is part of the curriculum for students with disabilities.
Includes information on laws, data on education, answers to frequently
asked questions on disability issues, and resources.
Science
At all levels of education, educators equipped with the
proper knowledge and tools must inspire their students to build a strong
technical foundation so that graduates of the nation's educational system
can ultimately replenish and enhance the technological workforce. To help
you work toward that goal, this packet is designed to provide basic information
about gender equity in relation to science education.
Title IX
Designed to provide basic information about Title IX, the law that prohibits
sex discrimination in federally funded education programs and activities.
The packet outlines steps that you can take to advance gender equity and
also contains practical resources to help you assess whether your school
is in compliance with Title IX.
