As the parent of an 11 (almost 12) year old boy it's nice to know that
girls are experiencing the same anxieties over their looks as boys
are. Clothes, hair, body shape, and rock and roll seem to be my son's
main concerns. I agree with a previous writer that much of this
concern with looks is developmental. I don't think its anything that
I want to make myself or my son crazy about.
