Try to get hold of Women in Colonial and Revolutionary America 1607-1790
published by the Mid-Atlantic Equity Center (202-885-8536), a study unit
designed for grades 4-8 including bios of women, classroom activities, and
additional sources. Another is Women of the American Revolution grades 5-8
by Jim Pearson published by the National Center for History in the School
-
University of California, LA. Contains Teacher Background Materials and
Lesson Plans with Student Resources - makes a lot of use of primary source
materials.

Both are well done and I have used them with success when I was teaching
American History to middle schoolers. If you can't get these materials,
contact me.
