A democratic classroom is one thing - a democratic _school_ is
another.

As I understand it, a democratic classroom embodies some
aspects of democracy; namely, I believe, that there is, on
occasion, some voting.

A democratic school, on the other hand, is governed _fully_ and
_exclusively_ by its members; namely, the students and staff.

I know it's not what you had in mind, but I urge you to check out
true and full democracy in schooling at the Sudbury Valley School
in Framingham, Massachusetts (which is just one of many such
schools located around the world, including in Australia). The URL
is http://www.sudval.org .
