There is an excellent sourcebook for teachers and trainers on integrating
equity and diversity into curriculum:

Teaching for Diversity and Social Justice : A Sourcebook for Teachers and
Trainers by Maurianne Adams (Editor), Lee Anne Bell (Editor), Pat Griffin
(Editor).

The book provides a theoretical and research base for teaching and learning
about social justice issues (race, class, gender, sexuality, and
disability)
and a practical guide to readings and resources for use in the classroom.

There is a student reader to accompany the teacher guidebook that will be
published in August 2000:

Readings for Diversity and Social Justice: An Anthology on Racism, Sexism,
Anti-Semitism, Heterosexsm, Classism, and Ableism by Maurianne Adams
(Editor), Warren J. Blumenfeld (Editor), Carmelita Rose Castaneda
(Editor),
Ximena Ziga (Editor), Madeline L. Peters (Editor), Heather W. Hackman.
