In response to Amber's message, I would like us to consider this quote by
Janet Radcliff Richards:
"If a group is kept out of doing something for long enough, it is
overwhelmingly likely that activities...will develop in a way unsuited to
the
excluded group".

I think we should reconsider when we conflate "what has always been" with
"what ought to be."
