IBM is currently funding a Sports and Gender Equity project at three sites
nationally. Westchester, NY, i believe, Rochester, MN, and San Jose, CA.
The
project is aimed at integrating gender equity curriculum into afterschool
programs for school-age (K-8) youth. I work as the Gender Equity Specialist
for the San Jose program where we have 8 sites, chosen largely in terms of
their connection with IBM employees.
I know that IBM sponsors it and that Work Family Directions is the national
