Christina Hoff Sommers has been no friend to equity for years. I do not
recommend you read the referenced book without a great deal of skepticism.
She has misquoted cited researchers in this book; there are other problems
with her "research."

You might consider the following book by Christina Hoff Sommers:

Who Stole Feminism? How Women Have Betrayed Women

published by Simon & Schuster (paperback edition) in 1995.

In particular, she takes a critical look at the document by Sadker &
Sadker.
