I have to second the opinion expressed by Herb. I have been doing some research
for a curriculum to accompany a children's opera on black cowboys. As I read I
couldn't believe how much had been left out of my history education. This was a
whole world that existed outside of my realm of understanding and knowledge. I
got angry, then realized why some of my black friends were so frustrated at some
of my remarks regarding historical events. I'll never completely understand how
they feel about being written out of history, but as a woman, I can begin to do
so.

LP,

Right you are. Let's not stop there.
