Is there a similar program for middle school girls - 4th grade and

The Women in Technology Project at Vermont Technical College, in
collaboration with Tech Corps Vermont, is starting up just such a
program for Vermont girls in grades 7 - 9 this fall
( http://www.vtc.vsc.edu/wit/telementoring/tmentor.htm ). We're
pairing up girls with professional women working in math, science,
and technology in an effort to address just the concerns you
mentioned.

Our program is only for Vermont girls right now, although mentors can
come from anywhere. For programs that serve girls in other areas,
check out the Center for Children and Technology at the EDC - they
have a very similar project - http://www.edc.org/CCT/telementoring -

and also you might want to look at these sites:

Cybersisters - http://www.efn.org/~wistec/cybersis/

Hewlett Packard E-mail Mentor program -
