I would like to clarify my earlier message.
I suggested that the listserv might not be the best place to strategize
about responding to the conservative media or being more proactive in
the media because, essentially, whatever we "discuss" here is in the
public domain.
So, in other words, it's one thing to discuss the programs and the
misperceptions that the programs perpetuate -- I, for one, don't object
to my opinion in that regard being out there on the world wide web. But
if the discussion is what do we do about it, then I would recommend
finding another forum -- such as a conference or a closed strategy
meeting.
Hope that clears up the confusion.
