Marta:

Yes, the series I am referring to here is new. It was released in August
1998. I will send you a preview.

Our original series, Sexual Harassment: Minimize the Risk, contains 6 videos.
Do you have the full set?
        1. Pay Attention: What is Sexual Harassment? (Student awareness)
        2. Sexual Harassment: Don't Be a Victim! (For students: If you have a
complaint...)
        3. Avoid Harm and Liability (for teachers & staff)
        4. Vital Do's and Don'ts (for investigators, administrators)
        5. Investigation Template and Techniques (for investigators,
administrators)
        6. In Our Schools (for parents and community awareness)

As Donato pointed out, this series is timely and may be used to train the
school community on issues of respect and responsibility for all types of
harassment.

Peer ridicule is one of many threads that we encounter repeatedly in our
attempts to understand heretofore unthinkable incidents of student to student
violence. In our video series we portray a variety of incidents where students
are ridiculing each other. This series is our attempt to awaken the school
community--students, faculty, administrators, and parents--to the damage which
"ridicule" and "harassment" cause. It's not an answer. But it is a start.

Also, Mary Jo is designing a version of her Comprehensive Communication
System (also known as The McGrath Template Training) for delivery to parents.
This program has been recognized for its effectiveness in altering the
paradigm of communication between administrators and teachers and for its
direct impact on teacher quality and performance. Mary Jo McGrath's Family
Communication System: The Logic of Love will give parents a framework for
communication that encompasses trust, respect, compassion and growth and that is
based in principles of fundamental fairness. We are also considering a version
for students.

While she is widely respected for delivering programs that are legally fit
and educationally sound, I have found in working with Mary Jo that at the
heart of her work is her love for children and her concern that they are safe
and free to fully express themselves. School should and can be such an
environment. Working together we can alter the school culture and turn the
tide of violence and harassment.

I'll get a press release out to you.

Let me know how I can be of service.
