Have you read any thing about the boy code? or the structure of masculinity
in school settings? Connell, Teachers College Record, 1996 is a good start.
I think that might provide a basis for thinking about what might be good to
address with middle schoolers. It is theory, but the insights in the
article might be very helpful.
