From: ssmith@edc.org
Date: Thu Oct 05 2000 - 16:34:15 EDT

Hello Edequity list members:

The Women's Educational Equity Act(WEEA) Resource Center will shortly begin
a pilot test of a new online course for Title IX coordinators.  (As you
know, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is the federal law that
prohibits sex discrimination in educational institutions that receive
federal financial assistance.) Space is still available. I'm attaching
the course description.  Please pass this along to the Title IX
coordinator at your school or anyone else you know who might be interested.
The deadline for registration has been extended but anyone who is
interested needs to register immediately. Registration is available online
at WEEA's web site http://www.edc.org/WomensEquity or call the WEEA Center
at 800-225-3088.

Thanks so much for your help.
