fyi, the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, started a "Today's Girls,
Tomorrow's Leaders" fundraising breakfast about 3 or 4 years ago to
support girls programs. the first year they raised $70,000, and this
year i think it was around $1 million! so there is definitely interest,
primarily from corporate women leaders... in Boston, many of the public
schools have corporate/business partners, and some of those provide
financial, in-kind, and volunteer support to girls programs at those
schools.
